Detention officers were reportedly verbally abusive and often behaved aggressively toward detainees. Reportedly, if detainees questioned treatment or living conditions, officers would beat them and take them to isolated rooms where they were not given food or water. In addition, psychiatric patients were locked up in different rooms, and detainees are reportedly at times injected with tranquilizing substances.
