تحليل ديموغرافي: At the end of 2023, persons with special needs and vulnerabilities were being held in both the Kos CCAC without being identified and allocated to appropriate accommodation areas. Young women or families and single mothers with small children were being accommodated with unrelated adult men and were being exposed to potentially serious harm.

Unaccompanied children were held in an ad-hoc section surrounded by high mesh fences topped with rolls of barbed wire. The centre reports a widespread lack of activities, absence of adequate clothing and food, as well as insufficient psycho-social support and legal advice. TThe girls reported that they felt unsafe.

وصف: At the end of 2023, in some accommodation areas, up to eight persons were accommodated in ten squared-meter rooms and many persons had to sleep on the floor without a mattress. The former RIC area had been temporarily re-opened even though it was unfit for human habitation and most containers had no functioning sanitary facilities and no electricity. Further, there was a lack of hygiene and cleaning products offered, as well as beds' mattresses, blankets, winter clothing and shoes.
