The respondent is 20 years old and is from Egypt. He was first arrested in Athens airport when he tried to travel with fake papers. He spent one month in the facility at the airport. After that he was taken to Amygdaleza PRDC, then Tavros (Petrou Ralli) PRDC and finally to Corinth PRDC. When he first arrived there everything was extremely dirty but along with fellow detainees, they cleaned the space. Access to hygiene items was very limited. While their rooms had no air conditioning they had access to air conditioned common spaces. While in detention he applied for asylum and was trying to appeal his rejection. He reported that detainees’ requests to the police were simply ignored. Access to the doctor occurred only in emergency cases, for example, in cases of self-harm people taken to the hospital.
