The respondent is 29 years old and comes from Morocco. He was arrested in Feres, where he spent 9 days in the police station, then spent another month in Fylakio, from where he was taken to Paranesti PRDC. In Fylakio, he applied for asylum and got rejected. He didn’t have access to legal aid. He described Paranesti as dirty and complained about the quality of food. He was in a container room with 12 people sleeping in 6 bunk beds. Medical assistance was satisfactory. He had access to outdoor space but the space available is very small. An interpreter was available. They’ve also met with the Red Cross at the centre but they visited only once and did not come back. In cases of complaints, they did not have anybody to turn to. While he did not experience any violent behaviour himself, to be ignored and disrespected is very hard for him.
