- Narrative
The respondent is Kurdish and is 31 years old. He was arrested upon arrival in Greece. He was held in a police station and then spent some months in Fylakio, which he described as extremely unhygienic with bad food. He applied for asylum there and was then transferred to Paranesti PRDC, where he depicted a similar situation. 30 people had to share a small toilet and the shower was dirty and infested. He shared a container with 17 people. There was no heating. Healthcare was limited to painkillers only. He experienced insulting behaviour from the police and he was a witness to many violent incidents instigated by alleged misbehaviour from detainees.
