Out of the spotlight: The rights of foreigners and minorities are still a grey area 70 The organization also calls on the authorities to review the policies relating to the recognition of minorities, specifically with a view to: • stopping the practice of listing recognized minorities; • establishing mechanisms to ensure that the government complies with its obligation to respect, protect and fulfil the right to self-identification according to established clear and objective criteria.
